Survival swimming lessons may seem initially more expensive than traditional swimming classes, but they can actually be more cost-effective in the long ru.  Designed to impart self-reduce skills swiftly, these lessons often require fewer sessions to ensure water safety.  In contrast, traditional lessons generally span a longer duration and may involve more lessons before achieving the same level of competence.  As a result the reduced number of lessons leads to lover overall costs over time.  Don’t waste months to years with no results. Sponsored Scholarships Paid for by First 5 in Collaboration with Lifesaver Aquatics

First 5 Riverside County invests in partnerships throughout the county to teach children how to be safe in the water and families the importance of water safety for their children.  These investments include one-on-one classes through Lifesaver Aquatics in Murrieta, California.

Remember: ALWAYS watch young children when they are near or in any body of water. From a bucket to a bathtub to a pool to the ocean, young children always need adult supervision to stay water safe.

Scholarship Eligibility

First 5 Riverside County Swimming Lessons Scholarship is for low-income families or families receiving public assistance with children 5 years or younger.  Scholarships are awarded on a first come, first served basis.

The Judah Brown Project

The Judah Brown Project is a charitable initiative founded in memory of Judah Levi Brown, a young boy who tragically drowned.  The project aims to promote water safety and prevent drowning incidents among children.  

 

The project focuses on providing scholarships for swimming lessons and water safety education, especially targeting families who may not have the resources to afford such programs.  By offering these essential skills , the  Judah Brown Project seeks to empower children and parents with knowledge and tools to stay safe around water. 

The Judah Brown Project Scholarship

The scholarship is a key component of the Judah Brown Project, dedicated to providing financial assistance for swimming lessons and water safety education for children.  The scholarship was established in honor of Judah and is designed to help cover the costs associated with enrollment in swim programs.  This initiative not only focuses on teaching children how to swim but also emphasizes water safety and awareness.
